The film/TV series I choose to do this post about is a popular crime drama series called 'The Wire' starring Idriss Elba. A crime/drama in film or television is the fictionalises of crimes, their detection, criminals and their motives. I think my film relates to the crime/drama genre as usually crimes and motives are included such as 'robbing someone else's phone due to the colour of the phone' which fictionalising the film not many of these types of robbery happens.
The typical codes and conventions of a crime drama are:
-A Chase
-
-A lot of involvement with props such as guns and knives which can be harmful
-The villain will have some identified problems which are usually addressed at the end of the film
- The hero who saves everyone will have a partner
-Characters will usually include someone vulnerable and gangs
-Crimes will usually be murders or dramas
-Conflicts due to different policing
-Someone's private life becoming public
-Betrayal
